Today the children have taken a fascinating journey back in time to explore the wonders of Ancient Egypt.
š InĀ Session 1, they examined a replica of theĀ Rosetta StoneĀ and discovered how hieroglyphs were deciphered. They even had the chance to try writing their own hieroglyphs using authenticĀ reed pens and inkājust like ancient scribes!
š§Ŗ InĀ Session 2, the focus shifted toĀ Egyptian beliefs about the afterlife. The children learned aboutĀ embalming and mummification, role-playing the process by āremovingā organs and placing them intoĀ canopic jars. They also explored their ownĀ embalmerās kits, learning about the tools and ingredients used in the mummification process.
š InĀ Session 3, they started with an interactiveĀ timeline and geographyĀ activity before stepping into the past with aĀ Virtual Reality tourĀ of ancient Egypt. They visited incredible sites such as theĀ pyramids of Giza, theĀ Valley of the Kings, and temples atĀ Karnak and Luxor. They also enjoyed playingĀ ancient Egyptian gamesĀ and exploring iconic art pieces like replicas of theĀ Amarna plaquesĀ andĀ Narmerās Palette.
