This week in our enrichment art and crafts session, we began creating fabric wreaths, embracing a festive and creative activity to bring the holiday spirit alive. The process started with crafting the base of the wreath, which we padded using soft stuffing to give it a plump, inviting appearance. Once the base was ready, we carefully wrapped colourful ribbons around it, adding a textured and decorative touch. The variety of ribbons allowed for personal expression and made each wreath unique. Throughout the activity, we worked hard to help one another, sharing materials, offering tips, and ensuring everyone felt supported. This teamwork made the process even more enjoyable and fostered a strong sense of community within the group.
Next week, we’ll take these wreaths to the next level by decorating them with festive accents. Using felt, we’ll craft holly leaves and berries, bringing a vibrant and seasonal charm to the design. These embellishments will add the finishing touches to our creations, transforming them into beautiful, handcrafted pieces perfect for holiday displays or gifting. The combination of creativity, collaboration, and hands-on activity has made this project both rewarding and a wonderful way to connect with one another.
