Arts and Crafts – Enrichment Fridays This Friday for Art Enrichment, we were excited to join our new groups and start exploring a fascinating art technique called pointillism. Pointillism is a style where small dots of color are applied to create an image, blending together visually from a distance. We learned about its origins and how artists like Georges Seurat used this technique to create stunning masterpieces with depth and vibrancy. Using this technique, we created our own sunrise artworks. We carefully placed tiny dots of warm colours like reds, oranges, and yellows to mimic the glow of the rising sun, blending them with cooler shades for the sky. It was a fun and creative way to explore how colours interact and to try a new, detailed approach to art-making. Everyone’s sunrises turned out unique and beautiful!
