Careers days

Class 4 had a very fun afternoon yesterday at our careers event. They shared their thoughts on different jobs, asked lots of questions and also were able to imagine themselves in that job 🙂

Enrichment – Finance

This week, the children worked in pairs to work out how much a weekend in London would cost me. The children had to find train prices, hotel and activities.

We also counted what we made from the cake sale and deducted what we spent to find out how much profit we made.

A big well done to the finance team 🙂

Enrichment – Finance

On Wednesday, the finance team held a valentines cake sale. In our finance lessons, we have worked out prices of cakes from a variety of supermarkets, how many we would need and worked out how much it would cost us to purchase all the cakes. The finance team helped set up, decorate cakes and used their money skills to give change. In our next finance lesson we are going to add up how much we have made and total the amount of profit. A big well done 🙂

Class 4 – Art

This week in art we have looked at abstract and realism art. We created our own pieces of abstract art, influenced by the artist ‘Paul Klee’. The children had lots of fun creating their own pieces of abstract art.

Enrichment – Finance

This week in finance we looked at the ways we pay for goods ang how it has changed over time. We looked at the pros and cons to online banking too. After this, we looked at NatWest online and played a game to recognise the scams we may come across when using online banking.
