What a great week in Class 3!
The children have been working really hard and earning lots of dojo points!
In English, we continued looking at the story Lila and the Secret of Rain. The children were able to write sentences to describe what happened in the beginning, middle, and end of the story. The children have also been looking at adjectives and using them in their writing to make it even better.
In Maths, Year 1 learnt about counting and representing numbers using a tens frame. Year 2, learnt about placing tens and ones on a place value chart using dienes.
In Geography, we learnt more about the weather and how weather forecasts are made. The children even worked together in pairs to make their own forecast… they were fabulous!
In Science, we looked at the life of a tree and how the tree shows us the different seasons. We then decorated our own trees, and wrote a sentence to describe what happened in each season.
In R.E, we learnt more about The Story of Genesis, and created a storyboard to show what happened on each day of creation.
In Computing, we looked at online safety and what the children should do if someone is making them embarrassed or upset online.
In Music, the children were learning about the concept pitch and recognising high and low notes in pieces of music.
In Art, the children have been learning about Andy Goldsworthy and we have made our own artwork outside inspired by the artist who focusses on natural artwork.
