British Science Week – open lessons with parents

It was wonderful to have our parents join us for our science lesson during British Science Week.

We wanted to help Mr and Mrs Grinling to stop the seagulls eating their lunch. We investigated how we could use pulley systems to carry the basket of food.
Year 1 had one type of material whereas Year 2 had different materials to see which one was the best for the different types of spools.

Careers days

Class 4 had a very fun afternoon yesterday at our careers event. They shared their thoughts on different jobs, asked lots of questions and also were able to imagine themselves in that job 🙂

The Great Fire of London Re-enactment

KS1 had a fantastic experience this week. We have been learning about the Great Fire of London this half term.
The children had a home project to create their own Tudor house. Thank you to all the parents/ carers who helped to create these amazing houses!

The children were very excited to watch what would’ve happened in 1666!

If you would like to watch the re-enactment, use the link below.
