Music lessons- let’s get down with the cornets

We have started learning to play the cornets in Year 3 and 4. We have had our first lesson on how to make a sound on the trumpet and then started to learn the song Hot Cross Buns. We can’t wait to see what we will be able to play by the end of the 10 weeks!

Christmas Fair

This week in Class 5,6 and 7 we have made things for the school Christmas Fair. We had great fun and raised a lot of money for the PTA. We had to design and package, create a budget and then sell our produce at the fair. We even added our allergy information for our customers.

The Big Debate

This week we have been debating whether the Sicily planning department should allow a housing site to be built 3km from Mount Etna. From our public forum on Thursday, the Sicily planning department will respond to letter with their final decision next week. Here are some clips of people sharing their thoughts at the debate.

Volcanoes

This week in Geography we have been looking at volcanos and earthquakes. We worked in groups to create a double paged spread on volcanos. We also learnt the MC Grammar song:
