The Great Fire of London Re-enactment

KS1 had a fantastic experience this week. We have been learning about the Great Fire of London this half term.
The children had a home project to create their own Tudor house. Thank you to all the parents/ carers who helped to create these amazing houses!

The children were very excited to watch what would’ve happened in 1666!

If you would like to watch the re-enactment, use the link below.

Library bus visit

This morning, Class 4 took a frosty walk to the library bus. All the children were very excited to visit the library and chose a book of their choice. All children picked a book they liked the look of from the front cover and the blurb. Some children chose books by authors they have read before. The children read some of the books this afternoon in class 🙂

KS1 Science

This week in science we have been learning about weather stations and the equipment used to measure the weather.

KS1 have set up a weather station allowing us to measure the weather each day using our observational skills.
This includes a rain gauge, wind sock and a thermometer to measure the temperature. The children made wind socks to take home too.

Positive Noticing Day

In Class 4, we celebrated ‘Positive Noticing Day’ on Wednesday 13th November. We all noticed something positive about someone in the class. We wrote these positive messages on stickers to hand out. It was lovely to see the smiles on children’s faces when they heard a positive comment from someone else. Noticing something positive helps build self-esteem and confidence in children and shifts the culture in the classroom so that the right behaviour is always the most sought-after behaviour.

We need to keep up these positive comments and make sure we are always giving out positive messages to brighten up someone’s day!
