Thursday news

The children have been experimenting to see how they can make a strong rope out of tissue paper as part of their materials topic in science. Blue table managed to hold 9 books with their rope!

Please could homework be returned on a Thursday so it can be marked and new sheets added ready to go home on a Friday.

Reading books need to be returned tomorrow, thank you to all the children who have already brought them in.

As part of our topic and art work we will be making models of the shops on Shawbury High street. If children could bring in cardboard boxes (cereal size) and newspaper that would be appreciated.

Dear Parents,

Due to parental feedback, on the days homework is sent home,  we have decided as a team that homework will be sent home on Fridays to be returned the following Thursday, as of week beginning 20th September.  We hope this will give you more time to work with your child over the weekend.

Many thanks,

Class 3, 4 and 5.

Thursday news

Good afternoon,

During our science lessons this half term we will be exploring the topic of materials. Today the children worked in groups to see if a metal, paper, cotton or cardboard spoon would move the most sugar. Metal was the winner!

Tomorrow, children are invited to wear blue with a donation of £1 going towards Alopecia awareness. As we will be doing PE in the afternoon please ensure children are wearing appropriate clothing and trainers.

Your child has been a close contact with a confirmed case and you are advised to take them for a PCR test.

From 16th August 2021, anyone under the age of 18 years and 6 months are no longer required to self-isolate if they are a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case and therefore does not have to isolate while waiting for the PCR results.
