Welcome back.
The children have all settled back into the flow of things after the summer holidays.
PE for this term will be on Monday and Thursday, although it is a good idea to have the kit in at school all week.
Homework will vary from week to week to target specific areas. I will look to alternate between maths, reading comprehension and spelling, punctuation and grammar homework, although on some weeks there may be more than one of these.
Homework will be set on a Friday and will be due in the following week. If children have difficulty completing the homework then I will be running a support session, for those who need it, on a Friday lunch time.
Before long, there will be an invite to parents to attend a couple of informal meetings. One will be to talk about the Year 6 residential and the other will be a coffee morning to allow you to see what is expected of the children in their SATs and how you can offer them support.
If you need to discuss anything with me, I’m available most days after school.
