Enrichment – Cooking

This week our cooking enrichment group rolled up their sleeves and got busy in the kitchen! The children worked brilliantly together to make a delicious batch of homemade scones.

They measured, mixed, kneaded, and shaped their dough with great enthusiasm—filling the room with wonderful smells and even bigger smiles. It was fantastic to see their teamwork, independence, and creativity shine through.

Our young bakers were very proud of their tasty results, and we’re proud of them too!

Well done, Cooking Group!

Word Hunt Sponsorship Event

We Did It! Thank You!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Word Hunt Sponsorship Event!
We’re thrilled to share that together we raised an amazing £1,608 — that means £200 worth of books for every class!

Your encouragement helped our children have fun with words, celebrate the National Year of Reading 2026, and most importantly, filled our school with brand‑new books to inspire a love of reading.

Thank you for making this such a brilliant success!

Year 3 & 4 Easter Concert

A huge well done to our wonderful Year 3 and Year 4 pupils for their fantastic Easter concert performance! We are all incredibly proud of the hard work, enthusiasm, and confidence they showed in their performance.

A sincere thank you to all the teachers for their dedication in preparing the children, and a big thank you to parents and carers for your continued support. Events like this are only possible because of our amazing school community.

Eco Group Plants New Trees in Enrichment Area

Our Eco Group has been busy making a positive difference to the school environment by planting several new trees in the enrichment area. The group worked together to carefully plant Rowan, Hazel, and Crab Apple trees, helping to create a greener and more wildlife-friendly space for everyone to enjoy.

The trees were planted along the hedge line near the road, where they will help strengthen the natural boundary while also improving the appearance of the area. Over time, these trees will provide important benefits such as shade, shelter for wildlife, and seasonal colour.

Rowan trees will produce bright red berries that are attractive to birds, while Hazel trees can support many insects and may even produce nuts in the future. Crab Apple trees are also excellent for wildlife and will bring beautiful blossoms in spring.

The Eco Group showed great teamwork and care while planting the trees, making sure they were positioned properly and given the best chance to grow. This project is an important step in supporting biodiversity and making our school grounds more sustainable.  In addition, as part of our digital strategy we are planting a tree for every computer device purchased. This means our digital procurement directly contributes to carbon offsetting and long‑term environmental stewardship – an approach that aligns technology investment with meaningful climate action.

We look forward to watching the trees grow in the coming years and seeing the wildlife they attract. A big thank you to everyone in the Eco Group for their hard work and commitment to looking after our environment! We have a few more trees to plant next week – watch this space!

Enrichment Friday – Sewing

This week in Enrichment Friday, our Sewing Group had a wonderful time designing and creating their very own Easter egg pouches. The children explored simple sewing techniques, selected their fabrics, and added their own creative touches to make each pouch unique. They were so proud of their finished pieces—and rightly so! Well done to everyone for their fantastic focus, creativity, and teamwork.

Enrichment Friday – Cooking

This week in Enrichment Friday, our Cooking Group had a wonderful time celebrating Mother’s Day in the most delicious way!
The children worked together to design, bake, and decorate their very own Mother’s Day biscuits. They carefully chose shapes, colours, and icing styles to make each biscuit personal and special. The children were incredibly proud of their finished treats, and we hope all the mums enjoyed their handmade surprise!
