Junk Modelling Request

Good evening,

Next week (Tuesday) I would like the children to make something exciting out of junk!

Please could I ask for your support with donating any recycling you may have e.g. cardboard boxes, kitchen rolls, clean yoghurt pots, etc, etc. If you could send your children in with these this week, I would be very grateful and this gives the recycling time to sit in the classroom before carrying out our project in Tuesday’s Literacy lesson next week.

Kind regards

Mrs Edwards

Congratulations to our Reading Superstars!

A huge congratulations to the children in Squirrels class who achieved their Bronze Reading Certificate last week!

I have a sneaky feeling there will be a few more certificates given out very soon as lots of children are very close to getting ten ticks on the Reading Rocket Chart.

Keep up the excellent reading at home everyone 🙂

What an EGG-citing morning we have had!

This morning we had an egg-tra special Literacy lesson to launch our new topic Knights and Dragons (learning about castles).

We went on a walk around the school grounds and found lots of egg-traordinary footprints, scales, broken branches and a caution sign saying “Beware Dragons!” We then came across some beautiful dragon eggs!

As soon as our adventure was finished, we raced back into the classroom to write about our findings and shared our lovely ideas.

Thank you Squirrels class for an egg-cellent day!

Happy Easter Holiday!

The children are coming home with reading books and homework this Easter holiday.

There is a small piece of Maths homework and a sheet for them to write to me about their Easter holiday.

I hope you have a great Easter holiday and I look forward to seeing you all on April 19th! Get lots of rest and fingers crossed for some much needed sunshine!

Best wishes

Mrs Edwards

Last Day before Easter!

Good evening,

Just a quick message to remind all children to bring in their reading book with their record tomorrow and also their green homework file and folder please. Thank you to those who have already brought these in!

I will be setting reading over the holiday and holiday homework which can be found in their green files when I return them tomorrow at the end of the day.

Tomorrow the children are welcome to wear non-uniform and will be having a treat afternoon of a film and popcorn (a small packet of sweets for those who don’t like popcorn). This is to say a huge “WELL DONE!” to the children and to send them off for a wonderful Easter break!

Thank you so much for your continued support this term, the children are an absolute credit to you all and I wish you all a very relaxing, happy Easter holiday.

Best wishes

Mrs Edwards

Mr Weaver

Just a quick note

Good afternoon,

I just wanted to let you know that this week I will be in class each morning with the children as normal. However, each afternoon (Tuesday-Friday) I am in a zoom meeting 1pm-4pm for online training. I just wanted to make you aware as I will be unavailable on the playground after school each day and a supply teacher will be handing over at home time.

Please feel free to email me if you have any concerns or catch me on the playground at 8:55am 🙂

Reading: Children who have handed in reading records and books have been given new books today. This is now following the same routine as before Christmas – New books out Monday and returned on Friday. If you have not handed in books and reading records could you please do so tomorrow so I can issue your child with a new book.

Best wishes

Mrs Edwards
