British Science Week – open lessons with parents

It was wonderful to have our parents join us for our science lesson during British Science Week.

Carrying on the theme of climate change from our geography, we looked at the changes of temperature and water contact have on glaciers.

Year 5 compared the impact of ice with hot or cold water and timed the difference between each investigations.

Year 6 had more variables and used salt and sugar to see if the difference in timings to melt the ice was faster or slower.
