Speed Debating
For our last session, we had a go at ‘Speed Debating’ which involved everyone choosing their own debate. Children chose a topic. These ranged from ‘The Stitch Movie’ to dietary choices, to whether children should have a say in how the country is run. Children showed they understood two sides of an argument by preparing a prompt sheet for a potential opponent, as well as themselves. They then lined up and took turns to face one another in three minute debates. Everyone enjoyed themselves and showed how much they had learnt.
