As the final Enrichment Friday session came to a close, members of the Eco Club gathered for one last inspiring and reflective meeting—focused on making meaningful, sustainable resolutions for the future.
Throughout the term, the Eco Club has explored a wide range of environmental topics. The final session provided an opportunity for students to reflect on what they’ve learned and, more importantly, how they can turn that knowledge into action.
The session began with a group discussion, where students shared the changes they’ve already started making in their daily lives. Many spoke about small but impactful habits such as using reusable water bottles, cutting down on food waste, and being more mindful of energy consumption at home.
Building on this momentum, each member was encouraged to create their own “sustainable resolution”—a personal commitment to help protect the environment. These resolutions ranged from walking or cycling to school more often, to starting recycling initiatives at home, to educating friends and family about eco-friendly practices.
To make the activity even more engaging, students wrote their resolutions on a colourful flower-shaped lift the flap.” This visual reminder highlighted the collective impact of individual actions and served as a powerful representation of the club’s shared commitment to sustainability.
The session ended on a positive and hopeful note, with students expressing enthusiasm about continuing their eco-friendly habits beyond the club. While this may have been the final Enrichment Friday meeting, it’s clear that the Eco Club’s mission will carry on through the everyday actions of its members.
By turning awareness into action, these students are proving that even small steps can lead to meaningful change—for our school, our community, and our planet.
