Creating Welcome Posters for Refugees – Day of Welcome Art Enrichment
As part of our Day of Welcome celebrations, students took part in a meaningful art lesson focused on kindness, inclusion, and community. The class created colourful welcome posters for refugees, using art to send messages of friendship, hope, and belonging.
Students explored the importance of making people feel valued and included, particularly those who may be arriving in a new country after experiencing difficult circumstances. Through thoughtful discussions and creative expression, they designed posters featuring positive messages, vibrant artwork, and symbols of welcome from around the world.
The activity encouraged empathy, understanding, and respect while giving students an opportunity to reflect on how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
We are proud of the creativity, compassion, and thoughtfulness shown by our students as they celebrated the Day of Welcome and demonstrated that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and welcome.
