Enrichment Friday: Art

This week in Art Enrichment, we revisited one of the children’s all-time favourite lessons – drawing animals!

The session was adapted to suit different age groups, allowing every child to take part at a level that felt comfortable and enjoyable. Our younger artists explored a selection of animal drawings, carefully colouring them in while practising their pencil control and colour recognition skills. They showed great enthusiasm as they brought their chosen animals to life with bright and imaginative colours.

Meanwhile, our older children took on the challenge of drawing their own animals from scratch. Using simple shapes and observation skills, they created a variety of fantastic animal illustrations, from familiar pets to favourite wild animals. Once completed, they had the option to colour their creations, adding their own unique style and personality to each piece of artwork.

It was wonderful to see the children developing their creativity, confidence, and drawing skills while enjoying a lesson that remains a firm favourite. The classroom was filled with concentration, excitement, and plenty of proud smiles as the children shared their finished masterpieces.

We are always delighted to revisit popular activities and watch the children build on their artistic abilities while having fun. Well done to all of our talented young artists! πŸŽ¨πŸ¦πŸΆπŸ¦‹
