Enrichment Friday- First Aid

This week, in first aid we learnt about basic life support.
We conducted a primary survey remembering the acronym DRABC, Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, Circulation.

Then we learnt that if someone is breathing normally but not responding, we put them into the recovery position. We practised putting each into the recovery position safely.

If we find someone and after the primary survey we find that they are not breathing normally and not responding, we call 999 or 112 and begin CPR. We used the resusci-Annie’s to practise CPR.
