Enrichment – Time Team

This week in Enrichment, we were excited to launch our brand-new ‘Time Team’ group. Bringing together children from KS1, LKS2 and UKS2, the group is already proving to be a fantastic opportunity for collaboration across the school.

The focus of Time Team is to revisit and reflect on prior learning within the history curriculum. Children have been thoughtfully reviewing what they have learned in their year groups and identifying areas they are particularly interested in exploring further. This process encourages curiosity, independence, and a deeper engagement with historical topics.

Over the coming weeks, pupils will work on developing their chosen areas of interest, with the aim of creating a final history project by the end of the half term. These projects will play an important role in supporting our upcoming St Mary’s Oracy workshop, helping children to confidently present and discuss their learning.

We have already seen some fantastic ideas emerging. Some children are planning to collaborate on a detailed group diorama, others are developing drama performances to bring history to life, and some are creating their own historical artefacts to support their presentations.

We are looking forward to seeing how these projects develop and to celebrating the creativity, teamwork, and historical understanding that our Time Team will showcase.
