First Aid Enrichment

Today’s session focused on essential life-saving skills. We began by learning the Primary Survey, a systematic approach to assessing a casualty’s condition. This included checking for responsiveness and ensuring the casualty was breathing.

Next, we practiced placing an unconscious but breathing casualty into the Recovery Position, which helps keep their airway clear and reduces the risk of choking.

Finally, we moved on to CPR training, using a Mini Annie manikin to practice chest compressions and rescue breaths. This hands-on experience began to give everyone confidence in performing CPR effectively in an emergency.

These skills are vital for responding quickly and calmly in real-life situations. Well done everyone!
