This week, in First Aid we learnt how to put another person into the recovery position. We recapped the primary survey to check if someone is conscious and breathing normally, remembering to check their airway is clear. If they were unconscious but breathing we put them into the recovery position.
If the person is unconscious and not breathing normally we need to perform CPR. We learnt how to perform the chest compressions for CPR using the resusci-annies.
