First Aid – Enrichment Friday

This week in First Aid we learnt about bleeding. To begin the session we learnt about blood and its importance in our body. We then made our own blood using different ingredients to represent the components that make up blood: plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets.
We had a practise of using bandages and thought about when bandages should be used and when only a plaster may be necessary.
