We had a wonderful start to our Forest School enrichment sessions this week! The children began by exploring the Forest School site, getting to know the space and learning important rules to help keep everyone safe while we are outdoors.
As part of our first activity, the children created their own journey sticks. Using natural materials they found along the way, they carefully attached items such as leaves, twigs, and grasses to their sticks. This helped them record their exploration and encouraged them to observe the environment closely.
It was fantastic to see their curiosity, creativity, and teamwork already shining through. We’re looking forward to many more exciting outdoor adventures ahead! 🌳
If your child is in forest school enrichment, please can you ensure for future sessions that they wear long sleeved tops and trousers/leggings. This can be light material due to the weather but keeps them safer from any nettles/prickles that may be present in the forest school area. We had lovely weather this afternoon so please keep an eye on the weather as they may need to bring sun hats for a Friday session.
Kind regards
Mrs Edwards
