This week marked the exciting start of our French Enrichment Club! In our very first session, we began by exploring French culture and learning what makes France such a special country. We talked about famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, delicious French foods such as croissants and baguettes, and fun facts about how school and everyday life in France might be different from ours. The children were fascinated and asked lots of great questions, showing real curiosity about the world beyond the UK.
To help remember everything we discovered, we created colourful posters filled with pictures, drawings, and key facts about French culture. Each child chose their favourite part of what they learned to include on their poster, making every one unique. The classroom was full of enthusiasm, creativity, and chatter – a brilliant start to our French journey! We can’t wait to build on this next week as we begin learning simple French words and greetings.
