Literacy: LO: As a writer, I will be able to plan my story.

This links nicely with World Book Day today as we are going to plan our own version of the Fancy Dress Jungle.

Have a look at page 64 Story mountains and the copy of the story mountain on this page. Have a think why it is important to plan a story and how this helps when you come to writing your final ideas. Discuss your ideas with an adult.

Have a look through the story mountain planning sheet and share ideas to create an example using your character and setting that you have thought about this week.

Activity: planning-sheet Please complete this planning sheet, filling in your fantastic ideas. Please could I either have an email of the children’s plans or the children bring in this plan with them on Monday as we will be writing up our story when we are back together 🙂 (This is the only piece of work the children will need to bring in with them when they return).
