Children can come into school from 8.35am in the morning and complete morning activities. Classroom doors and entrance doors will be closed at 8.45am. Registration closes at 8.45am.
After this time, children who are late must come into school via the main office.
Children arriving after this time are recorded as late. Please make every effort to get children to school on time.
School finishes for children at 3.15pm. Parents for reception and KS1 classes are asked to collect their children from outside their classroom via the class external door. Older children need to be collected from the main school playground.
Year 6 children may walk or cycle home alone provided that the school has been previously informed in writing of this arrangement. Children know to return to school if they find their home not occupied by an adult.
Those children travelling on the school bus or being collected by other after school childcare providers meet in the foyer and may only board the bus when given permission by the adult collecting them.
If children do not have an adult meeting them, they are to wait with a member of staff on the playground. After 5 minutes, the member of staff will take uncollected children to the main office where a phone call will be made to parents/carers.
Our school day for all pupils is 6.5 hours totalling 32.5 hours per week.
This includes 10 minutes registration and 1 hour lunch time
After School Clubs
If children are attending an after school club run by the school a register is completed to check names against the list of children in the club. If any child is not present and no message has been received to say that the child is absent, the office will contact parents to check they have been collected at home time. All children attending after school clubs must be collected by an adult, unless an agreement has been made with the school.
The adult leading the club is responsible for ensuring children are collected by parents. If there is no adult present to collect their child, the member of staff responsible for the child will take the child to reception to contact the parent or carer.
It is the responsibility of the parent/ carer to ensure that contact details are up to date.
