Homework.

Hello Parents and Carers of Ladybird class,

We have had a lovely week in Ladybirds this week. The children have all written some fantastic stories and learnt all about growing and changing in Science. Thank you for all of the baby pictures, they are making a very lovely display in class.

Tonight your child will come home with a homework folder, it will contain spellings and Maths every week. The maths is based on work we have been doing in class and the spellings are linked to the spelling rule that we have covered in class. Homework will be sent home every Friday and be due back the following Thursday.

As a school we are starting a new reading programme and have also launched “Reading Rockets’ as a new incentive to encourage our children to read at home. I have enclosed a letter in your child’s homework folder to explain this. In line with this, there will be no reading books sent home tonight, they will be issued on Monday and be due back on Friday (in line with COVID restrictions). I am sorry for any inconvenience caused. Please still read any books you have at home with your child over the weekend, it is important that they get the opportunity to look at a range of literature.

Thank you for your on-going support and cooperation with the restrictions and helping us to all keep safe at school.

Have a lovely weekend – please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or queries.

See you next week!

Miss Shadbolt 🙂
