Safer Internet Day – Year 5 and 6 Year 5 and 6 took part in Safer Internet Day 2026, exploring how to use AI safely and responsibly. They began the afternoon by taking part in the BBC Live Lesson. During the lesson, pupils learned about responsible AI design, including choosing reliable and unbiased training data and creating prompts that help prevent harmful AI behaviour. Pupils then discussed when it is and isn’t appropriate to use AI, working through real‑life scenarios and sharing the advice they would give. The afternoon was filled with brilliant debates, with children showing thoughtful understanding of how to use AI safely, sensibly and with confidence.
