Today Class 9 and Class 10 learnt about the heart and how it pumps blood around our bodies. They started by thinking about the basic structure of the circulatory system before exploring the heart and blood vessels further. They labelled their own diagrams of the heart, including the atriums, ventricles and valves. After this, they made a model of the heart. The cup represented the heart, dyed water to represent blood, straws used as the arteries, blue tac as the valves and the balloon as the pump.
