Sewing Enrichment Gets Creative with Felt Monsters 🧵👾
The Sewing Enrichment group had a fantastic session full of creativity and concentration as they made their very own felt monsters.
The children learned how to cut felt safely, choose colours, and use simple stitches to join their pieces together. They carefully planned their designs, deciding on shapes, eyes, teeth, and expressions—no two monsters were the same! Along the way, they showed great patience, fine motor skills, and attention to detail.
As the monsters came to life, the room filled with smiles and proud moments. Some were cute, some were silly, and some were wonderfully wild, but every felt monster reflected its maker’s imagination and hard work.
Sewing enrichment helps build confidence, creativity, and practical skills, and this session was a brilliant example of learning through making. Well done to all our talented designers—we loved meeting your felt monsters! 🎉🪡
