Time Team enrichment

  Time Team Enrichment Group

This week in Time Team, we continued working hard on our exciting group projects across the school. The children have shown fantastic teamwork, creativity and curiosity as they explored different periods in history.

KS1 children began building their diorama of Scutari Hospital, using the knowledge they have gained about Florence Nightingale and her important work during the Crimean War. The children carefully discussed what life would have been like in the hospital and have started creating detailed features for their model.

LKS2 continued their research into mummification, using the information books they collected from the KS2 library. The children worked collaboratively to deepen their understanding of Ancient Egyptian burial traditions and recorded fascinating facts to support their project work.

UKS2 began developing their evacuee suitcase project, thinking carefully about the artefacts and personal belongings an evacuee child may have needed during World War II. The children considered which items would have been most important and why, helping them to build empathy and understanding of the experiences of children during the war.

We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and thoughtful discussions taking place in Time Team and cannot wait to share our finished work at the upcoming oracy workshop!
