Funded by the UK Government, our UK–Ukraine School Partnership is an incredible opportunity for our whole school community. It has connected pupils at St Mary’s CE Primary School and Nursery in Shropshire with Poltava Lyceum No. 13 in Poltava.
In a world that feels more connected than ever, our responsibility as educators is clear: we must prepare children not just for exams, but for life as global citizens. That’s why being part of the UK–Ukrainian partnership has and continues to be so powerful.
Through this collaboration, our pupils don’t just learn facts—they experience culture. They have explored Ukrainian literature and stories that open windows into different worlds, they discover traditions that spark curiosity, and they engage in conversations that build empathy and understanding.
Together, we’re not only enriching learning; we’re nurturing the next generation of global citizens.
