This week, our Ukraine Enrichment Group enjoyed their first online meeting of the school year with pupils from our partnership school in Poltava.
It was wonderful to reconnect with familiar faces and, in particular, to meet the new children who have recently joined the group in Ukraine. Throughout the call, pupils introduced themselves, shared information about their lives and interests, and asked each other questions to learn more about one another.
The children quickly discovered that they have many things in common. From favourite sports and books to hobbies, pets and music, there were lots of shared interests that helped everyone feel comfortable and connected. It was lovely to see the excitement on both sides as friendships began to develop and pupils realised how much they have in common despite living in different countries.
